Out with sarahjones65 today just picking off a few outstanding caches in our area. On several occasions I had puzzled about how best to get to this one, but I needn't have worried as it was very straightforward.
We drove down Farm Lane and parked in a gravel layby just outside the housing area. Then we took the re-directed footpath around the back of the houses and soon we were heading down a lane next to the golf course and roughly parallel with the motorway.
The co-ordinates were very accuarate and Sarah found the hint item in amongst the long grass to one side of the path - underneath it lay the well-camouflaged cache box. We signed the log and Ieft a golf ball that some poor golfer is probably still looking for.
On replacing the cache we noticed that it was being guarded by quite a large toad or frog with superb orange eyes. I took some pictures before gently replacing the cache cover and vegetation. A pleasant and successful end to a Sunday morning's caching.
