Barclodiad y Gawres - GC1M9M5

Third of the day whilst out caching for the first time with the whole family. We know this location very well as we often canoe in Cable Bay just below the burial chamber. We've never got the key to go inside it though - maybe one day we will.

We'd noticed that the Cable Bay car park was quite full on the way to our first two caches of the day and so we decided to park in the layby just off the main road. This is close to a footpath that leads to the burial chamber from the 'other side' and makes a nice circular route if you follow it all the way round.

This way of approaching the cache was very fortunate as the it turned out to be only a few minutes walk along this footpath, when we had thought it would be a lot nearer to the burial chamber.

Cathy found the cache very quickly and so we had time to enjoy the splendid views along the coast towards Rhosneigr and the north west of Anglesey. There were people on the beach having a barbeque and enjoying the sun, a man who had waded into the surf and who was fishing, and plenty of would-be surfers splashing around. A really great spot.

We left a Cache In Trash Out geocoin and took a cuddly toy Travel Bug and a small marker pen after signing the log.
